What’s your favorite memory from this summer? Mi What’s your favorite memory from this summer? Mine is definitely this!
⁣What happens when you are in a social lock down ⁣What happens when you are in a social lock down for too long? ⠀
Every human I meet from now on appears to me as an equivalent of some sort of a social media personality. 🙈⠀
⠀
Meet Isabella and Vincent, who reminded me so much of Lily Rose Depp and Timothee Chalamet, especially after watching the Netflix movie King 👑 ⠀
⠀
Someone really needs to put these two in the movie 🎥 ⠀

Thanks for the great night @bottegabarlie 🍷

“I got tested and I passed, yeah” (c) - me thi “I got tested and I passed, yeah” (c) - me thinking about 12356 times I already passed the COVID test this year 🙈
⠀
When people ask me “How was Dubrovnik”, I don’t know what to tell them. I pretty much saw it from the comfort of my balcony 😝
⠀
By the end of my trip, I got pretty tired of ferocious sightseeing. In addition, the balcony in my BnB opened up the best views imaginable over the city.
⠀
Every afternoon, I came back from the beach, hopping over hundreds of stairs that are the way of getting around in Dubrovnik and got into the apartment to shower off the sea salt from my skin.
⠀
By this time, sun worked it’s magic and the floor of my balcony was so pleasantly warm that I couldn’t resist taking the linen from the bedroom and setting up my bed outside.
⠀
I would lay cuddled in pillows and sheets, enjoying my drink to the sounds and light of Dubrovnik old town: the most pleasant sight to all my human senses.
⠀
That’s how Dubrovnik was for me.
⠀
SWIPE for the change of daytime ➡️➡️➡️
Stories and travels came to an end and real life b Stories and travels came to an end and real life began again.
⠀
⠀

How expensive is Slovenia? ⠀ 🔺 Useful post al How expensive is Slovenia?
⠀
🔺 Useful post alert. So if you are ever considering going to #Slovenia, save this
⠀
I am sharing the breakdown of my costs in Slovenia for a full 5-day trip.
⠀
🚗 150€ for 5 days of rent with auto transmission
🏡 18-24€ per night in a hostel or ~70€ for a hotel room
🍽 15€ for a full course lunch with soup, main course and dessert, 5€ for coffee+cake in cafeteria, 2€ for coffee
⛽️ 1€ per liter of gas
🎭 some places to visit, like waterfalls and gorges, require entrance fee, which is usually ~10 €
⠀
Overall, 5 days of active traveling in Slovenia by car costs around 600€ or 120€ a day.
⠀
Would you choose to visit Slovenia?
Let me introduce you to this cute little town on A Let me introduce you to this cute little town on Adriatic Sea coast - Primošten, the cutest little town I have seen in Croatia so far.

Minutes before the storm. ⠀ My feet were dirty f Minutes before the storm.
⠀
My feet were dirty from walking barefoot to feel the pressure of coastal stones.
⠀
My blouse was wet from swimming dressed to absorb the shape of crystal clear water.
⠀
My hair was messy from letting it loose in the coastal breeze giving it the sense of freedom.
⠀
My heart remained untouched, unmoved by the sharpest stones, by the strongest waves, by the gentlest winds because it was stuck in the inescapable past loyal to the unavoidable infelicity of the future.
One beautiful day in Croatia...☕️ ⠀ I stayed One beautiful day in Croatia...☕️
⠀
I stayed in a beautiful villa where I got to experience incredible maternal hospitality from the local owner.
⠀
Highly recommend checking out small villages on your way through Croatian costal lines.
Looks like Rome, feels like Rome but isn’t Rome. Looks like Rome, feels like Rome but isn’t Rome. What is it?
It’s Pula, Croatia! 🇭🇷
⠀
I was astonished to see this beautiful Arena in Pula, a city in Istria region. Everyone that loves Roman Colosseum will like The Pula Arena, since it is the only remaining Roman amphitheater that is fully preserved and still has all four of its sides standing. It is also among the 6 largest ones on the planet.
⠀
An interesting side note: today it is sometimes used as a concert venue. Cool, ha?
⠀
Definitely mark this as a must visit stop if you are ever in this area of Croatia (which I totally recommend).
Local Tourism 🚴‍♀️ ⠀ To battle the decl Local Tourism 🚴‍♀️
⠀
To battle the decline in tourism during corona pandemic some governments take matters in their own hands.
⠀
For example, in Slovenia, every adult citizen is getting 200€ to spend on local tourism this summer! This, in part, explains why there are so many people local traveling and enjoying the nature here.
⠀
In Denmark, government introduced 50% discount all the way until September for local sights, such as museums, art centers, etc. On top of that, in-country ferries are free and train ticket prices are significantly discounted.
⠀
Did your country introduce any travel initiatives? Which ones?

Bye bye my first rental car 🚗 👋🏻 ⠀ So I Bye bye my first rental car 🚗 👋🏻
⠀
So I had to return the car and switch to a bus to travel to Croatia 🇭🇷 Because the one way fee for leaving car rental in another country is a whopping 300€!
⠀
But what a drag traveling with a bus is! 🙈
I wasted at least 3 hours hanging out with in killer heat in Ljubljana waiting for my bus. Then it was late and I was stressing out that I must have been on a wrong platform, so I was running around the station with my luggage looking for all possible places where FlixBus could stop.
⠀
By the time it finally arrived, I was sweaty as hell. The bus drivers spoke no word of English or even Slovene! 3,5 hours and we finally reached Zagreb. Another 20 minutes of dragging around to my bnb and I was completely broken. All I want now is shower and bed.
⠀
Ladies, I tell you this: freedom comes with a car. I am so happy I finally overcame my fear and decided to drive by myself. Can you imagine that up until 2018 women in Saudi Arabia were forbidden to drive 🚫? Driving is a privilege and we should use it.
This is probably one of the most famous places in This is probably one of the most famous places in Slovenia - lake Bled.
⠀
It’s mainly famous due to a tiny island in the middle of the lake where a beautiful church of Assumption of Mary is situated. The island also includes a museum and a cafe.
⠀
You can only get there by romantic wooden boat, or a plenta, which is a bigger boat and a traditional mode of transport in Bled. There are no bridges connecting the island with the land.
⠀
The water in lake Bled is crystal clear and is good for both swimming and fishing. I only tipped my toes in and can confirm that it is warm and pleasant enough for full body dip 😄
